Why essay coaching?

Let us start with a story. Once upon a time, there was a girl. She was stressed. Defeated. Running on too-much caffeine and four hours of sleep as she rushed to finish the PharmD applications that would determine the next four years of her life—and perhaps even longer than that. She wrote draft after draft of her application essays and showed it to her advisors, her family, her friends. Each time she got the same feedback: It was too shallow. Too overworked. Trying too hard to be something she was not. The application deadlines loomed closer. She was starting to panic. That's when she met—the Writer. The Writer had her own experience with application essays, having graduated from NYU Stern and USC's School of Cinematic Arts. She also had years of experience working behind the scenes of some of the world's biggest entertainment companies and on multi-million dollar film productions, before writing her first novel. The Writer took one look at the essay and knew they had to start from the beginning. This time, the process was easy. The two of them called regularly: First to hash out the core of what the essays would be, and then to refine it over multiple drafts. When the deadline came, the girl sent them off ... and got into every program she applied to. From there, they were inspired to offer a service that could help others ... And the rest, as they say, is history.
